Thank you for your interest in Hempfield Area High School Theater! We welcome all students to find their creative energy, whether it is on stage, in the pit orchestra or behind the scenes in Tech.

We produce 2 productions a year, a Fall Play and a Spring Musical.

Auditions for the fall play are typically held within the first week of school.

Auditions for the spring musical are typically held at the beginning of December. Students for the spring musical are asked to perform 32 measures of music individually with the director, and may be called back to audition with others. Participation in the musical is at least a 3 month commitment after school weekdays.

As always, there are plenty of opportunities for students who would like to help out behind the scenes. Set construction, lights, sound, stage management, costumes, make-up, etc. are examples of these behind the scenes jobs!
